Introduction

The following policies govern the rental of our ~644 sq. ft. photography studio, including access to fabric backdrops, props, and LED lighting equipment. Booking Policies

• Reservation Requirement: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Same-day or next-day bookings may be accommodated based on availability, subject to approval.
• Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your slot. The remaining balance is due 24 hours before the rental start time.
• Payment Methods: Payments are accepted via bank transfer, credit card, or approved digital payment platforms. Contact us for payment details.
• Minimum Rental Duration: The minimum rental period is 2 hours.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

• Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled rental time will forfeit the 50% deposit but may receive a credit for a future booking, valid for 60 days. Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the full payment.
• Rescheduling: Rescheduling requests made at least 48 hours in advance incur no additional fee, subject to availability. Requests within 48 hours may incur a $25 rescheduling fee.
• No-Shows: Failure to arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time without prior notice is considered a no-show and forfeits the full payment.

Studio Usage Policies

• Permitted Use: The studio is for photography and videography purposes only. Other uses (e.g., events, rehearsals) require prior approval.
• Capacity: The studio accommodates up to 10 people at a time, including photographers, models, and assistants, to ensure safety and comfort.
• Equipment Handling: Renters may use provided fabric backdrops, props, and LED lighting equipment (e.g., $30/backdrop, $40/LED kit). Equipment must be handled with care, and instructions from on-site staff must be followed.
• Cleanliness: Renters must leave the studio in the condition it was found. Trash must be disposed of in provided bins, and props/backdrops returned to their original state.
• Prohibited Items: No smoking, open flames, glitter, confetti, or hazardous materials are allowed in the studio.

Liability and Damages

• Damage to Equipment or Property: Renters are responsible for any damage to studio equipment (e.g., LED lights, backdrops, props) or the facility. Replacement or repair costs will be charged to the renter.
• Personal Property: Lighthouse Studios JC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought into the studio.
• Safety: Renters must comply with safety guidelines provided by on-site staff. Lighthouse Studios JC is not liable for injuries resulting from misuse of equipment or failure to follow instructions.

Additional Fees

• Overtime: Use of the studio beyond the reserved time is charged at 1.5x the hourly rate ($112.50/hr standard, $135/hr weekends).
• Cleaning Fee: A $50 cleaning fee may be applied if the studio is left in poor condition (e.g., excessive mess or failure to return props).
• Late Payment: Balances not paid 24 hours before the rental start time may incur a $25 late fee.
